Samantha Wang - Women's Golf

Freshman Samantha Wang of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team led the Tartans to a one-stroke victory at the 36-hole Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Monday, as she sank a 25-foot putt on hole 18 to secure the win. Wang also claimed individual medalist honors amongst a field of 75 golfers with a six-under par 138 (70-68) in her first collegiate event. Her score of 138 (-6) ties the school record for lowest individual 36-hole total in the program's history. She tied teammate Sriya Mupparaju who also scored a 138 (-6) in 2021 at the same event.
