Wiegand Gymnasium

Wiegand Gymnasium has been outfitted to be the home of varsity basketball and volleyball for the Tartans while construction of the Highmark Center for Health, Wellness and Athletics takes place through the spring of 2024. The arena includes seating for 1,000 fans and is located inside the Jared L. Cohon University Center with the main entrance on the east side of the building.

Recreation Policy

Must have a valid CMU ID to use the space

New Information regarding mask wearing and social distancing

Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear facial coverings or social distance in any athletics facility.

Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to social distance in any of our athletics facilities.

As long as each individual is vaccinated, pick-up games can be played in our athletics facilities. For example, full-court basketball games are permitted for all who are fully vaccinated.

Intramural and club sports activities also use Wiegand Gym.
