CMU Tartan Athlete of the Week

Freshman Gianna Adams was 3-0 for the week with a 0.00 ERA that included two victories on the road against New York University and an extra-inning road win against 20-win Geneva College. Adams started the week with a 6-1, eight-inning victory at Geneva with nine strikeouts. She closed the week with 20 strikeouts in two games at NYU, including matching a career-best 12 in the Tartans' 3-1 win to open the series. Adams struck out eight batters and scattered four hits in an 11-0, five-inning shutout against the Violets to win her eighth game of the season.
