Anisha Chintala - Women's Basketball

Senior Anisha Chintala of the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team helped the Tartans to a weekend UAA sweep with wins over Emory and Rochester. The weekend sweep was the first for the Tartans in UAA play since 2017. Chintala averaged 16.5 points, 2.5 assists and 3.5 steals in the two contests while she converted 10-of-13 from the foul line. In the Tartans' 78-66 overtime win against Emory where the Tartans erased a 19-point deficit, Chintala scored 12 points and had four assists. Her driving layup with seven minutes left in regulation gave the Tartans their first lead of the contest. The senior then scored a game-high 21 points, 14 in the second half, in the Tartans' 59-46 win over Rochester Sunday afternoon. She also recorded a season-best six steals in the win.
