Luke Freimanis - Men's Tack & Field

Freshman Luke Freimanis of the Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team competed at the Spire Midwest Open at the Spire Institute on Saturday. In a field comprised of Division I, II and III runners, he won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.15. He still currently ranks seventh nationally in the 60-meter hurdles with a school record time of 8.10 while ranking tops in the UAA in the 60-meter hurdles. Freimanis also competed in the shot put and pole vault on Saturday. He recorded a season-best throw of 10.17 meters in the shot and cleared the bar at 3.80 meters.
