CMU Tartan Athlete of the Week

Junior Orit Shiang of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the University Athletic Championships over the weekend. Shiang won the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:38.81, breaking Carolyn Lowe's 1992 school record of 35:49.10. She's only the second 10,000-meter champion in program history. Her time currently ranks 17th nationally.
