Kai Herchenroether - Volleyball

Senior Kai Herchenroether of the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team helped the Tartans to a 2-1 record at the Gettysburg College Battlefield Classic over the weekend. The senior hit .404 with 23 kills and 17 total blocks. She started the season with a career-high 13 kills and hit .542 in the Tartans 3-1 win over the host Bullets and added four block assists and one block solo. In the Tartans 3-1 over Messiah, Herchenroether recorded a career-high eight block assists and added three kills. The eight block assists was the most by a Tartan since Jane Dean recorded eight against Brandeis on September 18, 2021. She closed the weekend with seven kills and four block assists in a 3-2 setback to Otterbein.
