Bio

Maura D'Anna joined the Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics as the Coordinator of Recreation in September 2024. She is responsible for our student employees and development as well as management and oversight for the athletic facilities at the Tepper School of Business and Cohon University Center.

D'Anna is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in recreational and leisure studies while playing on the women's basketball team. She continued her education at IUP and earned her Master of Education in health and physical education and her Master of Science in sports management. The past two years, D'Anna has been a K-8 Fitness Educator at Propel Schools in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania. She has also worked for the Mount Lebanon Recreation Department as a summer camp coordinator and as a substitute teacher at Penns Manor Area School District.

As a student-athlete on the women's basketball team, D'Anna played in two Final Fours and was a two-year captain.
