Bio

Sam Turner started as a full-time equipment manager for Carnegie Mellon in the summer of 2021. Turner is the primary contact for football, basketball and volleyball.

Turner came to Carnegie Mellon from Harvard University where he worked as an assistant football equipment manager and also worked primarily with the track and field team since the fall of 2017. In this role, he was responsible for equipment tracking, inventory and distribution.

Prior to his start at Harvard, Turner interned for the Atlanta Falcons during the summer of 2017 where he was responsible for set up and execution of practice drills and directly communicated with players to make sure individual equipment needs were met.

Turner completed his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Auburn University in 2017. While at Auburn he was a student equipment manager for the football team. In July of 2021, he earned his master's in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University.
