(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) –  The fall athletics season was highlighted by five team NCAA Championship appearances and eight nationally ranked winter and spring teams, while the Tartans excelled in the classroom. An impressive 163 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 59% earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

“Carnegie Mellon student-athletes continue to excel in every aspect of their lives—academically, athletically, and in service to the community,” said Director of Athletics Josh Centor. “This year, we’ve achieved remarkable success on the national stage, a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes as we now enjoy the transformative Highmark Center for Health, Wellness and Athletics. Academically, our student-athletes prove that it’s possible to thrive in multiple arenas while inspiring those around them with their pursuit of excellence. This is the ideal model for intercollegiate athletics, and I am proud to support and celebrate our Tartans every step of the way.”
