Allen Honored by D3hoops.com

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball junior Justin Allen was honored by D3hoops.com on the Team of the Week. This is the second time this season Allen has appeared on the team.

Allen broke the school record single-game scoring and three-point records in 101-92 overtime victory against Dickinson College last Monday. Allen finished the game with 50 points and nine three-point baskets made. He shot 17-of-30 from the floor and he converted 9-of-13 from behind the arc. The junior also was perfect at the foul line making all seven of his attempts in the win. Allen then scored 19 points in the Tartans setback at Case Western Reserve. For the week, Allen averaged 34.5 points, shot 53.2% (25-47) from the floor and 68.8% (11-16) from behind the arc.

Carnegie Mellon will travel to the Windy City to play the University of Chicago on Friday, January 17. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. CT.
