Allen Honored with Two Regional Awards

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Junior Justin Allen of the Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team was honored with two regional team awards for his performance during the 2024-25 season. Allen was named to the D3hoops.com Region 7 first team and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Region 7 second team.

Allen started all 25 games this season and led the UAA in scoring for the second straight season as he averaged 25.4 points per game which ranked fourth nationally. Allen scored in double figures in all 25 contests while recording 20 or more points on 17 occasions and 30 or more seven times. The junior broke the single-season school record for points scored when he dropped 50 points in the Tartans' win over Dickinson while also setting the school record for most three-pointers made in a contest with nine.

For the second straight season Allen set the program's single-season record for points scored and points per game. He scored 635 points this season topping his total of 557 points last season. Allen became the 22nd Tartan to score 1,000 points for his career and currently ranks third on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,483 points. He also finished the regular season with the most field goals made (250) and field goals attempted (509) in the nation.
