(CHICAGO, Ill.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team traveled to compete against the University of Chicago on Sunday, October 27. The final score was 1-1, putting the Tartans at 7-4-4 overall and 1-2-2 in the University Athletic Conference (UAA). The Maroons are now at 7-6-3 overall and 2-0-3 in the UAA.
Inside the Box Score
- The Tartans had a total of six shots, five of which were on goal, while the Maroons had a total of 23 shots, 12 of which were on goal.
- Freshman Sandor Preda made the first shot for the Tartans in the 13th minute, but it was stopped by the Maroons' goalkeeper.
- Sophomore Henry Hawthorn took a shot in the 49th minute, which was blocked by the defense.
- Seconds after Hawthorn's shot, the Maroons raced up field and scored.

- The Tartans were awarded a penalty kick in the 72nd minute but Shah stopped it to keep the score knotted at 1-1.
- Each team had a shot on goal in the final four minutes with Yamamoto saving a shot in the 86th minute and Shah a shot by senior Eli Kampine in the 88th minute.
