Tartans Place Second and Third on Boards at Fletch Diving Invite

(ATHENS, Ohio) – Four Carnegie Mellon University men's divers competed at the Fletch Diving Invite at Ohio University on Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15 to open the 2022-23 season. The field was comprised of 12 total divers from Division III colleges, Kenyon (Ohio), Trinity University (Texas), and Hope (Michigan).

Inside The Results

  • Graduate student Jud Kyle posted a score of 272.30 on the 1-meter board after six dives to place third.
  • Sophomore Jonathan Lindstrom tallied 247.55 points to place seventh with sophomore Tyler Hoyt reaching 229.10 points to place eighth.
  • Senior Matthew Wagner scored 224.65 points on the 1-meter to place ninth.
  • Wagner returned Saturday to place second on the 3-meter board with a score of 304.20 points after six dives.
  • Kyle was third with 271.05 points and Hoyt fourth with 248.80 points.
  • Lindstrom scored 235.20 points on the 3-meter to place seventh.
