After an extensive search, John Dusch was named the diving coach for Carnegie Mellon University in September 2024.

Dusch previously coached at the University of Pittsburgh as an assistant coach for 10 seasons after competing for the Panthers for his four seasons of undergraduate work. He coached several ACC Champions and a national champion on the 3-meter springboard. His coaching background includes starting at Steel Valley High School in Munhall, Pennsylvania when he was 16 years old.

As a diver, Dusch started taking lessons at seven years old and lettered all four years at Taylor Allderdice High School and qualified for the PA State Championships, making the finals as a senior. At Pitt, Dusch competed in several BIG EAST Championships. After graduation, Dusch participated in professional high dive shows around the world, performing springboard, platform, and high dives.

John is ecstatic to join the Tartans for the new season and is already making a huge impact on the program!
