(ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.) - The 24th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team played Brandeis University in the fifth-place match of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Sunday in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans dropped a 5-1 match and ends the season with a mark of 7-10 while the Brandeis moves to 13-7.
How it Happened
- Junior Derek Wong and freshman Akshay Joshi won at first doubles while Brandeis took second and third doubles and led 2-1 heading into singles play.
- When play was stopped sophomore Chaitanya Irkar and freshman Sebastien Lhuillier were leading in the second set after dropping the first.
- Sophomore William Wang was tied in the second set.
