#20 Tartans Lose 5-2 at #4 Case Western Reserve

(CLEVELAND, Ohio) – The 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team traveled to Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday to play fourth-ranked Case Western Reserve University and dropped a 5-2 match. The Tartans are now 3-1 while the Spartans are 6-2.

How it Happened:

  • The Spartans grabbed the team point in doubles play winning at one and three. Although, the Tartan tandem of sophomore Theodore Gershon and freshman Brendan Hendrata collected a 7-6 (3) win at second doubles.
  • Case Western Reserve took the first three points in singles to clinch the win.
  • The Tartans claimed team points at second and third singles. Sophomore Raghav Jangbahadur won 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 at the two spot while Hendrata won 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (5) at the three spot.
