#20 Tartans Drop Contest to #20 Kenyon

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team hosted 20th-ranked Kenyon College on Saturday, February 22. The Owls won the match by a 5-2 score and the Tartans are now 3-2 for the season while the Owls are 3-0.
How it Happened
- Kenyon earned the doubles point after winning at second and third doubles.
- Senior Akshay Joshi and freshman Alex Feies won their doubles match at the first position by a 6-2 score.
- The singles wins for the Tartans came from freshman Brendan Hendrata and freshman Braden Chavez.
- Hendrata won 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at the third position while Chavez won in three sets, 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 at the sixth position.

The Tartans will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to play Sewanee, University of the South on Saturday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. before playing Emory University on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
