(GEORGETOWN, Texas) – The 20th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team traveled to Georgetown, Texas on Tuesday and defeated Concordia Texas 7-0. The Tartans are now 4-4 while Concordia is 6-3.

How it Happened:

  • The Tartans took the point in doubles play as the top tandem of freshman Alex Feies and junior Akshay Joshi won 7-5 and the Tartans third doubles pair of sophomore Raghav Jangbahadur and freshman Takeshi Koey won 6-0.
  • The Cardinal and Gray then swept singles play winning all in straight sets.
  • Feies won 6-0, 6-0 at the top spot before Jangbahadur won at the second spot by the scores of 6-4, 6-1.
  • Freshman Braden Chavez played at six singles and won 6-2, 6-1 to clinch the victory for the visitors.
