Jangbahadur Receives UAA Recognition

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Raghav Jangbahadur was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week for his performance over Tartans trip to Texas.

Jangbahadur had a record of 5-1 in three matches for the Tartans, as the team went 3-0 with wins against #11 Trinity (Texas) and #30 Southwestern (Texas). The sophomore won all three of his second singles matches with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Trinity and a 7-5, 6-0 win against Southwestern. In doubles play, Jangbahadur won 6-0 with freshman Takeshi Koey against Condorida (Texas) and 7-6 (7-5) against Southwestern to prevent the doubles sweep by the Pirates, both at third doubles.

The Tartans will welcome Division I Saint Francis University to Pittsburgh on Friday, March 21 for an exhibition match.
