Tartans Open Season Placing Second at Panther Open

(PITTSBURGH Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross-country opened its 2024 campaign at the Panther Opener at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday. The Tartans placed second, scoring 37 points on the 5k course.

- Senior Matthew Coyle crossed first for the Tartans and third overall with a time of 14:52.30.
- Junior Ryan Podnar placed fifth in the race with a time of 14:54.10.
- Senior Anthony Toskin followed in sixth place with a time of 14:58.70.
- In his first race for the Tartans, graduate student Matthew Denton placed 14th with a time of 15:22.30.
- Crossing in 15th with a time of 15:28.50 was sophomore Christian Brower.
- Placing 16th was junior Thomas Damiani with a time of 15:28.70.
