Tartans Third Division III Team to Finish at Paul Short Invitational Gold Race

(BETHLEHEM, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team, ranked 11th in Division III, finished 19th overall and was the third Division III institution to cross in the gold race at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Saturday in a field of 44 teams. The field for the 8k race was comprised of runners from Division I, II and III.

Results:
- Junior Ryan Podnar led the Tartans as he crossed 68th overall in a field of 374 runners with a time of 24:33.5.
- The second Tartans to cross the line was senior Matthew Coyle with a time of 24:37.7 in 76th.
- Graduate student Anthony Toskin crossed third for the Cardinal and Gray in 24:50.9.
- Senior Eamon Brady finished with a time of 25:15.6.
- Rounding out the top five for Carnegie Mellon was senior Colin McLaughlin with a time of 25:31.2.
