All-Presidents' Athletic Conference Honors

Carnegie Mellon was a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference from 1972-1989. The Tartans were still eligible for the PAC Championship while the university transitioned to the University Athletic Association at the start of the 1987 academic year.

The Tartans won the PAC Championship on 11 occasions, starting in 1978, and had a string of 10 straight from 1980-1989. Gary Meckley was named PAC Coach of the Year in 1984, 1985, and 1986
