Bio

Monica Harrison was named the first head softball coach in Carnegie Mellon University history in 2017 with the first season taking place in 2019. The young program has recorded double-digit win seasons four times and graduated two full recruiting classes.

The 2023 team finished with 15 victories while setting five new team records to go with five individual records. Two players were honored for the second time by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches with All-UAA accolades.

  • Assistant coach at Arcadia University for two years (2016, 2017)
  • Won two ECAC Division III Championships with Arcadia
  • Mentored eight All-MAC Commonwealth honorees, a MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year, MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Year, ECAC South Rookie of the Year, and a two-time NFCA All-Region selection
  • Assistant coach at Stevens Institute of Technology for six years (2010 through 2015)
  • Helped start the program at Stevens which played in two ECAC Championship tournament finals the final two years Harrison was an assistant
