Dieterich Honored as UAA Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Junior midfielder Cecelia Dieterich was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week after leading the 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team to a 2-0 UAA road weekend at the University of Chicago and Washington University in St. Louis.

Dieterich played a part in both game-winning goals for the Tartans who recorded two 1-0 wins. The road weekend sweep in the Midwest is the first in program history for the Tartans. Dieterich scored the game-winner at Chicago off a free kick in the 74th minute. She also had two other shots on goal with one other off frame in the game. Against WashU, Dieterich had one shot on goal and assisted on the game-winning score in the 56th minute.

The Tartans return to the field on Saturday, October 22 when host Salisbury University for a non-conference match at 1:00 p.m.
