Tartans Return to Action with Meet at Denison

(GRANVILLE, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team competed in a double-dual meet with Denison University and Calvin University on Saturday, January 14 at Denison. The Tartans topped Calvin by a 194-106 score while falling to Denison by the same score.

Top Performances

  • Freshman Savannah Xu won three events: 100-yard backstroke (57.14), 200-yard backstroke (2:03.91) and the 400-yard IM (4:30.03).
  • Freshman Annie Wang placed third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:50.76.
  • Senior Tiffany Tseng touched second in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.07.
  • Freshman Audrey Lambert was third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.66.
  • Freshman Audrey Soetanto won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:07.29.
  • Freshman Grace Malinger touched third in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.69.
  • Freshman Eliana Szabo was a second-place finisher in the 100-yard freestyle in 53.62.
  • Freshman Yitian Zhang placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:28.18.
  • Junior Kelli Kuramoto scored 286.60 points to win the 1-meter diving event.
