Tartans Open Competition at Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon

(GAMBIER, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team competed in the first day of the Total Performance Invitational at the Kenyon College on Thursday, November 21. The Tartans ended the first day of the three-day meet in fifth place out of eight teams with 260.5 points.
Top Performances
- Junior Sophie Elliott placed seventh in the 500-yard freestyle finals with a time of 5:04.47 to score 27 points.
- Freshman Allie Kim placed fifth in the B Final of the 200-yard IM, scoring 16 points with a time of 2:07.88.
- Junior Grace Malinger placed third in the B Final of the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.96, scoring 18 points.
- The Tartans tied for seventh in the 200-yard freestyle relay with Malinger, freshman Lizzy Rosenberg, junior Audrey Lambert, and sophomore Anna Zaniolo finishing in 1:36.49.
- Freshman Olivia Giuffre, sophomore Elizabeth Shaffer, freshman Nalia Evans-Gibson, and junior Eliana Szabo placed ninth in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:53.53.
