Tartans Compete at Denison with Calvin

(GRANVILLE, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team returned from their annual training trip in Florida to compete in a double-dual meet at Denison University against the Big Red and Calvin University Knights.
Top Results
- Freshman Alexandra Scharpf placed fifth in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:06.45 while sophomore Jessica Zheng was sixth in 11:11.44.
- Junior Eliana Szabo placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.77.
- Junior Savannah Xu was third in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.23.
- Senior Emma Hoffman was sixth in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.89.
- Junior Sophie Elliott placed fifth in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:23.52.
- Junior Audrey Soetanto finished third in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.99 and fifth in the 400-yard IM in 4:42.40.
- Sophomore Cat Bryan placed fourth on the 3-meter diving board with 239.40 points.

The Tartans will host a time trial meet on Saturday, January 18 beginning at 12:00 p.m. while the divers will compete at Westminster on Friday, January 17.
