Tartans Begin Competition at NCAA Championships

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team opened competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Wednesday, March 19.
Junior Savannah Xu swam in the preliminaries of the 200-yard IM and finished 25th in 2:05.54.
The team also competed in the 400-yard medley relay with Xu, sophomore Elizabeth Shaffer, freshman Natalia Evans-Gibson, and junior Audrey Soetanto finishing in 3:50.87 to place 21st.
The meet continues on Thursday with freshman Alexandra Scharpf swimming the 400-yard IM, Soetanto and Evans-Gibson the 100-yard butterfly, and a relay group swimming the 200-yard freestyle relay.
