Tartans Host Invite to Start Season

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team hosted Saint Francis University (Pa.), Slippery Rock University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania on over the weekend to open the season.

Doubles Results

• The Tartans won nine out of 20 of their doubles matches.
• Junior Manuela Van Cotthem won three doubles matches with three different partners.
• Six players won two doubles matches: freshman Ancele Dolensek, junior Divya Venkatarama, senior Zoe Angell, junior Anika Joshi, junior Anna Chow, and freshman Shelly Zinchenko.

Singles Results

• The Tartans won 12 out of 23 singles matches over the weekend.
• Dolensek won all three of her singles matches.
• Zinchenko, Gazda, Lu won two singles matches.
• Venkatarama, Van Cotthem, Chow each won one singles match.
