(ATLANTA, Ga.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team competed against Washington University in St. Louis in their second match in Atlanta, Georgia at Emory University on Saturday. The Tartans lost to the Bears 4-3, putting them at 15-2 overall while the Bears are at 8-4 overall.
Inside the Results
- Freshman Ancele Dolensek and junior Divya Venkatarama won at second doubles 6-4 and along with a win in third doubles by junior Anika Joshi and freshman Shelly Zinchenko gave the Tartans the first point of the match.
- The Bears record four of the six points in singles play to secure the victory.
- The Tartans first point in singles came from Zinchenko at number one by the scores of 7-5, 6-3.
- Junior Manuela Van Cotthem earned the other point with a win at sixth singles by the scores of 4-6, 6-0, 6-4.
