#9 Tartans Place Fourth at UAA Championship

(ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.) - The ninth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team played 10th-ranked Washington University in St. Louis in the third-place match of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans lost 4-0 and moved to 21-4 overall while the Bears are now 13-7.

Inside the Results:

• The Bears took the point in doubles play with wins at first and third.
• The Tartans second tandem of freshman Ancele Dolensek and junior Divya Venkatarama won their eighth straight doubles match, as they won by the score of 6-1.
• When play was stopped, freshman Shelly Zinchenko, Venkatarama and freshman Vicroia Gazda were all in the third set.
