Yee Named UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Grace Yee (San Francisco, Calif./Lick-Wilmerding) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Field Athlete of the Week following her performance at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday, April 18.
        
Yee cleared a school record height of 3.21 meters in the pole vault breaking the previous mark of 3.10 meters set in 2011 by Lisa Marion Garcia.  Yee's height currently ranks her third in the UAA.

Yee and the Tartans will next head to Atlanta, Georgia, for the UAA Championships. The meet will take place at Emory University on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.
