Barre Wins 100-Meter Hurdles at Dave Labor Invitational
(SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University on Saturday. The field was comprised of Division I, II and III athletes. Due to inclement weather, the Tartans competed in a limited number of events.
Top Performances on the Track:
- Senior Liz Barre won the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 14.44.
- The 1,500-meter run had graduate student Kristen Seballos crossing third with a time of 4:53.73.
Top Performances in the Field:
- Barre took second in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.60 meters.
- Senior Ola Owodunni took fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 39.48 meters.
