Tartans Compete and Westminster and Bucknell
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon women's track and field team competed in the Westminster Invitational and the Bucknell Invitational over the weekend.
Top Performances at Bucknell
- Senior Sophia Zalewski placed third in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:19.19.
- Junior Alyssa Hoffman placed fourth in the 10,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 38:27.12.
- Senior Isabella Rhee ran in the 800-meter run and crossed in a personal-best time of 2:15.40.
- Sophomore Jacqueline Liu placed 11th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:48.26.
Top Performances at Westminster on the Track
- In the 5,000-meter run, junior Lauren May placed second with a time of 19:14.90, and freshman Kara Mathias placed fifth with a time of 19:28.35.
- Junior Mia Constantin placed seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.94.
Top Performances at Westminster on the Field
- Senior JoJo Huczko placed third in pole vault with a career-best mark of 3.48 meters.
- In triple jump, junior Jocelyn Kiefel placed fourth with a mark of 11.12 meters and sophomore Iniyaa Mohanraj placed eighth with a mark of 10.61 meters.
- Junior Taylor Symonette placed eighth in shot put with a mark of 12.01 meters.
- Junior Kayla Rountree placed eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 36.30 meters.

The Tartans will travel to Slippery Rock University to compete in the Slippery Rock Last Chance Meet. Competition will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18.
