Tartans Compete at John Papa Invitational
(SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed in the John Papa Invitational at Slipper Rock University on Thursday.
On the Track
- Senior Liz Barre took first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.58.
- Barre also took second place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.70.
- Sophomore Iniyaa Mohanraj, Emily DeAugustino, Jocelyn Kiefel and Zoe King placed fifth in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 52.06.
On the Field
- Senior JoJo Huczko finished fourth in the Pole Vault after clearing the bar at a career-best height of 3.60 meters.
- Mohanraj finished seventh in the long jump with a career-best jump of 5.33 meters.
- Junior Jocelyn Kiefel finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.12 meters and Mohanraj finished sixth with a mark of 10.73.
- Junior Kayla Rountree finished eight with a mark of 42.07 meters in the hammer throw.
- Junior Taylor Symonette finished eighth in the shot put with a mark of 11.82 meters.
- Junior Jolie Wasserman finished sixth in the javelin throw with a mark of 35.29 meters.
