Barre Set to Compete at 2024 NCAA Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Graduate student Liz Barre of the Carnegie Mellon University women's outdoor track and field team has received an invite to compete at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Barre qualified for the outdoor championships in the heptathlon and high jump. Last season, she had to withdraw during the championships due to injury. The prior season, Barre ended the championships ninth in the heptathlon with 4,594 points. She will enter the competition this year ranked third in the event after posting 5,009 points earlier this week at the North Central College Cardinal Combine. She ranks second in the high jump with a school record jump of 1.73.

Barre's first event in the heptathlon will be on Thursday, May 23 at 12:30 p.m., which is the 100-meter hurdles.
