Tartans Fall to #15 Mt. St. Joseph

(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team is at the Wittenberg University Fall Classic and opened competition against 15th-ranked Mt. St. Joseph on Friday, October 13. The Tartans dropped the contest by a 3-0 score after sets of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-21 to move to 13-6 for the season.

• Senior Laura Reichard led the Tartans was 11 kills after hitting .267.
• Senior Avani Seshiah hit .333 and had eight kills along with sophomore Elizabeth Schlemmer.
• Senior Mindee Lai dished out 28 assists and had two service aces.
• Junior Abby Chen led with 16 digs while Reichard had nine digs.
• Schlemmer and freshman Elizabeth Phillips each had two block assists.

• The Tartans will continue play at Wittenberg on Saturday with an 11:00 a.m. match against the hosts before playing Marietta College at 1:30 p.m.
