Tartans Dominate in the CMU Tri-Match to Close Regular Season

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team competed in the CMU Tri-Match on Saturday, November 9. They won 3-0 against both Grove City College and Oberlin College to close the regular season with a 17-10 overall mark.

Inside the Box Score Against Grove City

• The Tartans won with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-20.
• The Tartans hit .240 compared to Grove City's .044.
• Graduate student Laura Reichard led the team with 12 kills. Junior Katherine Jackson had eight kills.
• Sophomore Neha Tummala collected 42 of the Tartans' 45 assists. She also had 16 digs.
• Senior Abby Chen had three service aces.
• Chen also led defensively with 20 digs.

Inside the Box Score Against Oberlin

• The Tartans won with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-18.
• The Tartans hit .330 compared to Oberlin's -.039.
• Reichard led the team with nine kills. Junior Julianna McFarland and sophomore Elizabeth Phillips both had seven kills.
• McFarland hit an impressive .636.
• Tummala had 31 assists and five service aces.
• Chen had 12 digs and sophomore Zoe Gavros had nine digs.
