Volleyball Hires Erin Street as Full-Time Assistant

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University volleyball head coach Anne Bock has announced Ern Street as her full-time assistant coach. Street joins the Tartan staff after serving as the acting head women's volleyball coach at Slippery Rock University.

"Bringing Erin on board is a tremendous opportunity for Tartan volleyball." said Bock. "Her extensive coaching experience and recruiting abilities are going to translate into points on the scoreboard."

The 2024 season was the 15th for Street on the staff at Slippery Rock. She began her coaching career as a graduate assistant from 2006-2008 for The Rock before being named assistant coach in 2009. Following the 2013 season, Street left Slippery Rock for the head coaching position at Grove City College. In four years at the helm of the Wolverines, Street led Grove City to 49 wins, the second-highest win total over a four-year stretch for Grove City. In addition to her coaching responsibilities at Grove City, Street served as an assistant track and field coach as well as an assistant professor of Exercise Science.

Following the 2017 season, Street returned to Slippery Rock for her second stint as an assistant coach for The Rock and in 2024 was named the acting head coach. Over her 15 seasons at Slippery Rock, Street has helped coach The Rock to four NCAA Tournament appearances, 201 wins and 11 American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Awards.

Street worked in all facets of the volleyball program at Slippery Rock, including scouting, practice planning and recruiting. She specifically handled the design and implementation of The Rock's offensive attack during her tenure.

While completing her bachelor's degree at Wheeling Jesuit, she was a four-year setter and captain of the team in her senior season for the Cardinals. Street recorded 1,285 career assists, which ranked fourth in program history. She also ranked third all-time in assists per game (8.74) and second in aces per game (.476).

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Street earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Wheeling Jesuit in 2006. She completed her master's degree in community counseling at Slippery Rock in 2009.
