Tartans Receive Seventh Straight Bid to NCAA Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team received an at-large invitation to the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, marking the seventh straight bid for the Tartans. This year's race will be hosted at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, November 23. The team's appearance marks the 10th in program history.
Carnegie Mellon received the invite after placing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday. Six Tartans finished in the top 35 to earn all-region accolades.
The Tartans received one of 22 at-large bids and will join the field of 32 at the championships. The Tartans placed 30th at the previous two championships.
The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men's race set for 12:00 p.m.
