Brandon Nguyen - Football

Sophomore Brandon Nguyen of the Carnegie Mellon University football team totaled eight points in the Tartans' 20-14 win over Westminster College Saturday. The sophomore broke a 14-14 score with a 38-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. Nguyen then added a 41-yard field goal with 7:39 remaining in the game to extend the Tartans lead to 20-14. He converted both of his extra point tries in the first quarter. He has now converted 9-of-10 field goals this season.
