(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will host Waynesburg University on Saturday, September 17. The 1:00 p.m. kick at Gesling Stadium will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play for both squads.

Saturday marks the 16th meeting between the two with the Tartans leading the series 10-4-1. The last regular season contest between the two schools was in 1963. In 2012, the two teams met in the ECAC Southwest Bowl where the Yellow Jackets came away with a 28-24 victory on their home turf. The win for Waynesburg marked its fourth straight in the series as the Tartans won 10 of the first 11 meetings with the lone tie in the series coming in 1910, as the game ended without either team scoring.

Carnegie Mellon is coming off an open week and brings a 0-1 record into the game following a 41-34 heartbreaking overtime loss to Washington University in week one. Waynesburg travels to Pittsburgh with a 0-2 record and is coming off a 28-7 setback to Westminster this past Saturday.
