Football Welcomes Bethany to Gesling Stadium in 5th Annual Cindy Lackner Memorial Game

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will host the Bison of Bethany College on Saturday, October 1 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest. Saturday marks the 5th Annual Cindy Lackner Memorial Game held at Gesling Stadium. Both teams will be seeking their second win of the season, as the Tartans enter Saturday's game with a record of 1-2 and 1-1 in PAC play.  Bethany travels to Pittsburgh with a record of 1-3, 0-2.

The meeting marks the 42nd time between the two schools, as the Tartans lead the series 34-7. The Tartans and Bison first met on the gridiron in 1912, with the Tartans of Carnegie Tech coming away with a 14-6 victory. Last season, Carnegie Mellon defeated Bethany 56-35 in Pittsburgh. The Tartans have won seven of the last eight contests.

Kick is set for 6:00 p.m. on the turf at Gesling Stadium.
