Vasiliadis Named D3football.com All-American

(CANTON, Ohio) – Sophomore running back Tre Vasiliadis (Great Falls, Va./Langley) of the Carnegie Mellon University football team was named a member of the 2021 D3football.com All-America team as announced Friday evening prior to the Stagg Bowl in Canton, Ohio. The sophomore was one of three Presidents' Athletic Conference players honored and garnered fourth team accolades this season.

Vasiliadis led the PAC with 1,120 rushing yards and a 112.0 rushing yards per game average, which ranked 19th and 23rd, respectively, in Division III at season end. His 16 rushing touchdowns and 102 points scored ranked second in the league and 13th nationally. He became the fifth player in Carnegie Mellon to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. In the Tartans win at Geneva College he rushed for a career-best 268 yards, which ranks second most in a single-game for a Tartan.

Vasiliadis was named a D3football.com First Team All-Region selection as well as First Team All-PAC.

The Tartans posted an 8-2 overall record and finished 8-1 in the PAC. The Cardinal and Gray earned a share of this year's conference title and earned the league's automatic qualifying bid to the Division III Championship.
