Men’s Golf Competes at First Day of Flower City Preview

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed at the first day of the 54-hole Flower City Preview on Saturday, September 12. The Tartans fired an opening round of 320 in the rain and wind all day at Midvale Country Club.
    
Junior Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./Sutherland) led the Tartans on Saturday with a five-over par 77.  Fellow juniors George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) and Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) ended the round with an 80 and 81, respectively.

Sophomore Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) finished the first 18 holes with an 82 while junior Ryan Karbowicz (Avon, Conn.) had an 83.  

Second round of action began at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with most of the field making it halfway through the round before play was postponed due to the inclement weather. Round two will resume from Midvale at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
