Four Men’s Golfers Named PING Mid-Atlantic All-Region

(NORMAN, Okla.) – Four Carnegie Mellon University men's golfers have been recognized for their play on the course this season by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Juniors Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) and Jason Folker (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) along with sophomore Joshua Lim (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) and freshman Raymond Li (Del Mar, Calif.) were named to the 2020 PING Mid-Atlantic Region team. The four receiving the honors marks the most regional distinctions for the program in one season. In 2015 and 2016, the Tartans had three members garner the accolade.

This marks Jason Li's third straight season receiving all-region honors and the second straight season for Folker, while Lim and Raymond Li receive their first honor.

The four helped lead the Tartans to the highest final ranking in program history of fourth nationally when the final rankings were released at the beginning of April. The Tartans ended the shortened season with a top-place finish at the 18-team, 54-hole Savannah Invitational, which was played on the par 72, 6,845-yard The Club at Savannah Harbor Golf Course. He also tied the school record round of 66 this past fall at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial where he a carded a 36-hole score of 139 to place second individually in a field of 120 golfers.
