Tartans Start Play at NCAA Preview

(NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened play at the NCAA Preview Sunday on the Keene Run Course at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The Cardinal and Gray carded a 305 and are currently eighth in the 54-hole event after the first round.

How it Happened:

  • Graduate student Henry Scavone led the Tartans on Sunday carding an even par round of 72. He is currently tied for sixth individually in a field of 90.
  • Junior Brian Xu entered the clubhouse with a three-over par 75.
  • Sophomore Justin Chan shot a 78,
  • Freshman David Zhang turned in an 80 with senior Joshua Lim concluding round one with an 83.
