Xu Named UAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Junior Brian Xu of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week following his performance at The Visit Florence Intercollegiate on April 10-11, which was played at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals.

Xu placed second individually in a field of 96 golfers. He opened play with a round of even par 72 before posting his collegiate-best round of four-under par 68 in round two. The junior then carded another round of even par to close the intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 212 (-4).

Through 21 rounds this season he is averaging 73.8 per round.
