Tartans Continue Competition in Golfweek October Classic

(SANDESTIN, Fla.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team continued competition at the Golfweek October Classic on Monday. The Tartans carded a 290 on Monday and have a 36-hole score of 576 (286-290) which puts them currently in 10th of 24 teams after the second day of the three-day competition.

How it Happened
- Senior Justin Chan led the Tartans with five-under par 66 on Monday and has a 36-hole total of 133 (67-66), putting him in a tie for second place in a field of 120 golfers.
- Junior David Zhang carded a round of even par 71 in round two and has a one-over par total of 143.
- Freshman Will Blankenship fired a 75 Monday and has a 149 (74-75).
- Freshman Leonardo Vieira and sophomore Steven Shea will enter the final round with a score of 156 (73-83) and 157 (79-78), respectively.
